It seems like both men and women want toned and strong arms.
For women, they love to come out during the summertime with their sleeveless blouses, spaghetti straps and whatever else they may where. Wearing them alone may give you a sexy look, but it’s toned arms that give you that perfect look. For men, well, nothing says “strong man” like a set of big biceps do.
It’s the amount of work and dedication necessary that makes changing body parts such a drag. Don’t you wish we could all wake up and get strong arms or a flat stomach without really putting in any effort?
To get rid of those excessive flesh and lipid fat on your arms, here’s some tips you can think about:
Check your diet
More often than not, the flab under your arms, or that bulk of skin is a result of fat deposited in your arms due to excessive food intake. Make sure your diet is balanced and it doesn’t contain more than 20% carbs and fat. Eat more fruits and vegetables to have more fiber in your body. Also, take the time to learn how much calories you ought to consume in a day in order not to eat excessively.
Remember diet is the key to everything. Diet is what controls our hormone levels, all the organs in our bodies like our brain, liver, lungs, heart, colon, digestive tract, stomach, gall bladder, blood and skin. All these things are controlled by our diet.

Hormones are the master switches. If you control your hormones (the organ responsible for this is your thyroid gland) you control your life. It’s all about hormones people.
So make sure you’re only feeding yourself the highest quality organic, raw food possible. If you’re eating meat, as I presume most of you are, make sure it’s 100% grass fed and not fed genetically modified corn or soy. These foods will destroy your hormones and your body over time.
To get rid of that flab, you’ll need to exercise. You can’t expect it to disappear without any work. Join a gym or spend some time looking at pictures with toned arms. Seeing people with toned and shapely arms should be able to motivate you to work out and come back in shape. So exercise whenever you can.
I like to exercise as much as I possibly can. If you’re parking somewhere, make an effort to park farther away so you have a longer walk. If you’re entering a building, take the stairs rather than the elevator. If you’re going to the grocery store, and live close enough, walk if you can so that you can get more aerobic and cardiovascular exercise.
You can probably double the amount of exercise you do in a day just by making a couple small changes to your daily routine. Every little bit counts, just remember that. It all adds up over the course of your life.
Perform a lot of cardio. There are many for you to choose from, ranging from brisk walking, jogging, to swimming. You need to raise your heart rate in order to burn more calories. Do these exercises daily for about 20 minutes to half an hour to achieve results.
Getting your lungs activated and helping to pump oxygen to your organs helps tremendously with detoxification and proper bodily function, like burning fat. Toning up isn’t just about doing specific exercise for that body part.
It’s a whole body approach. Cardiovascular exercise helps to increase circulation and helps to increase your metabolism over time.
Every day, perform pushups. This exercise is great for the arms. With different variations, you’ll also be able to target some parts of your chest. To get more workout for your triceps, concentrate on closed pushups.
For beginners, those who can’t do even one, start with knee pushups. If that’s out of the question, then work your way from wall pushups (come on! that’s your body against a wall!), to chair pushups, to knee pushups, then to a full legitimate pushup. Don’t worry about not being able to do a pushup the first time around. Everybody practically started from 0 pushups. Work your way up to it.
Again don’t feel bad, only do what you’re physically capable of doing. The key is to build muscle and just by having more muscle on your body you’re going to burn fat at every point in the day. Even when you’re sitting on the couch watch the latest episode of your favorite talk show!
Always carry dumbbells
When you’re doing exercises that don’t normally use the arms, get your arms into the action by keeping 2 dumbbells handy. They don’t always have to be heavy. If you don’t have any dumbbells, simply use 1-litre bottle with water to use it as weights. The important thing is you get your arms to work even when you’re not working them.
When I’m on the re-bounder (a mini trampoline where you jump up and down) I always have a small light weight set of dumbbells. I also use them when I’m on the treadmill or elliptical machine. They’re great on the stair stepper machine too.
They really help your workouts. Take them on your next long walk or run and see how you like them. But only do this if you’re going to be running on grass or soft dirt or sand as the added weights could put too much pressure on your knee and ankle joints.
You don’t want arthritis later on in life that’s for sure!
